Intentions

While every New Year brings in a whole new slew of resolutions that rarely get fulfilled, most of us have the right intention and a burning sense of motivation (at least at the start of it all) to accomplish the goals we set for ourselves. Looking back throughout my life, it seems to follow a consistent pattern of not wholeheartedly going after what it is I seek in my life.

One of my resolutions this year is to get back into blogging, but with a whole new intent. My last blog, www.seedsofhopeuganda.blogspot.com was about my experiences while living, working, and traveling in Uganda.

I look back now and remember how much I loved writing and the joy of sharing a part of myself with others through this mode of expression. That's the beauty of blogging, you can reach out and touch people from all walks of life all over the world, never really knowing what sort of ripple the information you share will have. The potential is endless and the reach is boundless.  That's what makes it so exciting and what keeps me coming back to the keyboard, thoughts flowing seamlessly into each other.

Where I want to head with this blog is still up in the air at this point. I do know that I want to focus a lot of attention on sharing simplistic approaches to building local/household food security. It's not hidden from sight anymore that the world we live in is at a pinnacle turning point. If we all make a concerted effort to do good in our lives, do our part towards larger global solutions, then the change we all seek will come flowing in.

This blog will provide an array of information from politics, philosophy, hands on/do it yourself activities, information on my apartment garden and lots more as I refine my approach.

More to come. Dinner is calling.
It feels good to be back!!!
